The Man Who Wouldn't Bow
Daniel was young, gifted, and living in a foreign land under a foreign king. He had every reason to blend in, keep his head down, and survive. Instead, he stood out. He refused the king's food. He prayed three times a day with his windows open — even when a law was passed making it punishable by death. And when they threw him into the lion's den, the lions didn't touch him.
Daniel didn't tame lions with strength. He tamed them with conviction.

Just like Daniel, you are youthful, vibrant and daring, yet, committed, self-confident and righteous. Nothing will eliminate your love and devotion to God. You will refuse to bow to the pressures of those who want you to worship them or their idols. You will demonstrate that your belief in the Almighty is not merely intellectual assent but a firm and steady conviction.
Any threats like those of being thrown into the lion's den will not phase you and any actual event will not quell your resolve. As a result of your mighty faith, God will vindicate you in the midst of your enemies.

What Does It Mean to Be a Lion Tamer?
A Lion Tamer in the SIIB sense isn't someone who dominates by force. It's someone whose faith is so settled, so rooted, so unshakeable — that even the lions recognise it and stand down.
Daniel's secret wasn't strategy. It was consistency. He prayed the same way before the lion's den as he did after. His faith wasn't a crisis response — it was a daily practice. And that daily practice became his protection.
A Lion Tamer is someone who:
- Refuses to compromise their convictions — even when the cost is high
- Stays consistent in private — Daniel's open window wasn't performance, it was principle
- Trusts God with the outcome — he didn't know the lions wouldn't touch him. He went in anyway.
- Rises in excellence — Daniel was promoted repeatedly because his work was exceptional
- Interprets the times — Daniel had wisdom and discernment that no one else in the kingdom possessed
Your Lion's Den
Your lion's den might not have actual lions. But it might have a workplace that pressures you to compromise. A culture that tells you to be quiet about your faith. A situation that seems designed to destroy you.
The Lion Tamer spirit says: I know who I serve. I know what I believe. And I will not bow.
Not out of stubbornness — but out of settled, confident, joyful conviction. Like Daniel, you can be the most excellent person in the room and the most faithful person in the room at the same time. Those two things are not in conflict.
