Be Like David — The Head Hunter's Guide to Facing Giants
Share
Who Was David — Really?
Most people know David as the boy who killed Goliath. But David was so much more than a single moment of courage. He was a shepherd, a warrior, a poet, a king — and above all, a man after God's own heart. His life was a masterclass in what it looks like to face impossible odds with unshakeable faith.
At Giddymoose, we created the Head Hunter as part of our SIIB (Speak It Into Being) collection — a wearable declaration for everyone who carries the spirit of David. Not just the giant-slayer, but the worshipper, the forgiver, the humble king who never forgot where he came from.
The Head Hunter Affirmation
Like David, you are chosen though others overlook you. God knows you are a champion — and you will not disappoint Him. You carry courage where others carry fear. You will fight lions and bears and conquer them. You will fiercely resist those who dishonour God. You run toward giants with faith in the living God, striking with precision, guided by divine confidence.
But your lesser known qualities are what will make you the greatest. You are humble, easy to forgive, quick to confess, and you yearn for the presence of God. Your worship summons victory, your obedience opens doors, and your heart after God makes you unstoppable.
Your faith is strong enough to boldly kill giants — even with a stone and a slingshot. You stand before giants and they fall. You face armies and they scatter. You cut the head off every obstacle and fearlessly claim triumph. By exercising your faith and obedience to God, you will deliver yourself and your territory from the hands of your enemies.
You move fast. You strike first. You finish the battle. Victory follows your faith. Courage defines your steps. You are a Head Hunter!
What Does It Mean to Be a Head Hunter?
Being a Head Hunter isn't about aggression — it's about divine precision. David didn't rush at Goliath in a panic. He ran toward him with calm, focused, faith-fuelled confidence. He knew who he was, whose he was, and what God had already done for him.
A Head Hunter in the SIIB sense is someone who:
- Runs toward their giants — not away from them
- Worships before they war — David's secret weapon was always his relationship with God
- Stays humble in victory — David never forgot that the battle belonged to God
- Forgives quickly — even Saul, who tried to kill him, was shown mercy
- Keeps going after failure — David fell, confessed, and rose again
David's Giants — and Yours
Goliath was just one giant. David faced many throughout his life — Saul's jealousy, his own moral failures, the rebellion of his own son Absalom, years of hiding in caves. Yet through every season, he kept returning to God. He kept speaking it into being.
Your giants might look different. They might be financial pressure, broken relationships, health challenges, or the quiet voice that says you're not enough. But the Head Hunter spirit says: I see the giant. I know my God. I'm running toward it.
Wear the Declaration
The SIIB Head Hunter collection is more than clothing — it's a daily declaration. Every time you put it on, you're speaking identity over yourself. You're reminding yourself and the world around you who you are in God.
Whether it's the Head Hunter Unisex Hoodie, the Head Hunter Cotton Tee, or the Fearless Head Hunter Kids T-Shirt — you're wearing a story. David's story. And yours.
The SIIB Movement
SIIB — Speak It Into Being — is built on the belief that words carry power. That identity shapes destiny. That what you declare over yourself matters. The biblical characters in our collection aren't just historical figures — they're archetypes of faith that live in every believer who dares to trust God in the face of the impossible.
David was overlooked by his own father. He was the youngest, the smallest, the least likely. And yet God chose him. If you've ever felt overlooked, underestimated, or written off — the Head Hunter is for you.
