Be Anxious for Nothing — Chapter One
Bernard is an angel with a list of thirteen people whose lives have quietly organised themselves around fear, and an instruction: visit each one, drain the anxiety out of them, and collect it in a jar. Bernard is doing his best. Bernard is not, on balance, very good at this.
This is the first visit — Margaret, a failing Etsy shop, and a knock at the door at exactly the wrong moment — plus the short “Before we begin”. About 8,500 words, 61 pages at A5, set to read easily on a phone.
