Once you understand that your language has real effects on your thinking, You can change your language so that it does not corrupt your thoughts.
“But if thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought.” George Orwell.
Pointing to the power of thoughts and words, George Orwell proposes that if what we think perverts what we speak, then what we speak can pervert what we think. By the same token, it is safe to suggest that if what you think can cleanse what you speak then what you speak can purify your thoughts. Either way, our language can influence our thoughts.
Speaking positive biblical affirmations into your life is of utmost importance. This daily practice actually shapes your thoughts and influence your mindset. When you speak life over yourself, your mind and your thoughts catch up and start to believe what you speak.
When your thoughts have been rewired to the point where you see yourself in a positive light, your eyes are opened to see you and life from a different perspective.
Eventually, the things that were nonexistent become existent, what seemed far fetched becomes real. You literally renew your mind and change your life by the words you have spoken.
When you make declarations, you call the things that are not visually evident into being. So in our present realities you may be drowning in debt, finding it difficult to pay the bills, unable to get health insurance, jobless, can’t get enough funds to go college or the refrigerator may be empty. In these situations, instead of agreeing with what you see, put your tongue into action!
